EDE Presents - Cinematic: dance inspired by the movies

From March 5 through March 7, the Evanston Dance Ensemble (EDE) will transport audience members onto the movie screen in the dance company’s original production Cinematic: dance inspired by the movies. From Hitchcock to “Hairspray,” Fosse to “Flashdance,” suspense to spaghetti westerns, the movies provide the inspiration for the ensemble’s 13th annual production, which includes artistic contributions from special guest choreographer Harrison McEldowney and nationally renowned projectionist John Boesche. The Evanston Dance Ensemble presents Cinematic: dance inspired by the movies on Friday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 6 at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m.; and Sunday, March 7 at 2:00 p.m. at The North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie (at the intersection of Skokie Boulevard and Golf Road). Tickets are priced at $15.00 for children under 18, students and seniors, and $21.00 for adults. Premium seats are available for $20 for children and $25 for adults.
